The seductress Jezebel
Like Cleopatra, the serpent of the Nile, Jezebel was a queen with the same spirit of seduction. King Jezebel, one of the kings over the ten tribes of Israel, was seduced by her charms.
Well, for those who know a little about the history of the people of Israel, the name Jezebel cannot be ignored. This name is disliked by today's Jewish people because of the character of the woman who was the king's wife.
She did not belong to the people of Israel, but to King Ethbaal I, king of Moab, a Gentile people, and she was Ahab's wife.
On her orders, Naboth, a righteous man, was put to death, just because he refused to sell one of his vineyards next to the palace to Ahab, her husband, who was king over Israel.
Because of her position as the king's wife, she influenced the people of Israel at the time, introducing false worship of God and false prophets of Baal by the hundreds. These were killed by the prophet Elijah.
When God used the prophet Jehu to avenge what the couple had done to Naboth, Jezebel was killed at Jehu's behest and devoured by dogs.
But before Jehu arrived at Ahab's palace after Ahab's death, she, having been informed that Jehu was coming, put on make-up in the hope of seducing him with her beauty. But it was no use.
Worldly women use their beauty and seductive spirit to seduce men, and even men of God's people, as happened with Ahab and Samson. Such women are unscrupulous and loveless, seeking only their own pretensions to status, power and glory.
Therefore, men, beware, for there are seducing spirits in them, who deceive the unwary.
