Repair yourself by making a covenant with God
Repair and covenant are homophones, words that are pronounced the same but have different meanings; the first means to fix, while the other means an agreement or pact. And you need to do both to connect with God.
When God spoke to all the people of Israel on Mount Sinai, He first instructed Moses, the leader chosen to lead that people to the promised land. He told him to tell the people to prepare themselves, take their clothes, and not touch a woman for three days, because on the third day He would come down on the mountain. He also said that no one should touch the mountain. And that anyone who did so should be stoned, even if it was an animal. Exodus 19.
After God gave the laws to that nation, the high priest entered the Holy of Holies once a year to offer a sacrifice for the people. However, the priest had to be in integrity before God to enter that part of the tabernacle of revelation, lest he die.
After Jesus' death and sacrifice, He opened the way for any of His people to come into His presence, for the veil that separated the holy place from the most holy place was torn. However, there is a need for sanctification in those who do this or are about to do it, as there was in the priest who offered the sacrifice in the old dispensation of grace. Hebrews 9:6, 7, and 11.
And what is basically required for this sanctification? First of all, obedience to the Ten Commandments, which are the righteousness of God and which make the one who obeys them righteous. In addition, it is also necessary to obey the doctrine left by God through His prophets and apostles, of which the prophet Hosea says there are ten thousand. Hosea 8:12.
Now, God made a covenant at Horeb with the Israelites of Palestine, and another covenant with the rest in the land of Moab. The first covenant was based on the Law of Moses, and the second on His own Law. Exodus 24-8; Deuteronomy 29.
Therefore, it is necessary to make a covenant with God (pact, agreement), purifying oneself from all impurity of the flesh, and sanctifying oneself, in order to access the throne of grace, and also to repair what may unfortunately be dismantled or damaged. For without holiness no one will see God. Hebrews 12:14.
